About Me

Let's Make Diamond Bar Better Together

Mobirise

I was raised in Diamond Bar and I love it here: for its history, its diverse culture and its hometown feel. I have seen it grow from the small unincorporated area to what it is today. We are going through challenging times, both as a city and as a nation. I want to bring in my knowledge, experience and focus to help us get back on our feet and make it even better than before.

I have dedicated my life to public service for 27 years and I take pride in being a very focused and compassionate community leader. My career has been grounded in education and I have worked at Mt. San Antonio College for 21 of these years. It gives me deep satisfaction to advocate for our students and help them flourish.

It was my great honor to be appointed to the Board of Governors for the California Community Colleges in 2018, on which I currently serve. I am also honored to serve as Vice Chair of Diamond Bar’s Planning Commission, where we take action and advise the City Council on issues related to planning and development.

I am also proud to serve on the California Workforce Pathways Joint Advisory Committee, where I help ensure our students will be ready for the jobs of the future. I am a member of the Kiwanis Club of Walnut Valley, which is an incredible organization where we focus on improving the lives of children.

Over the years I have served on the Board of Directors for a variety of non-profit organizations, which has given me great satisfaction in knowing that I am helping people of all walks of life to reach for their goals and be their best.

I love the outdoors, exploring new books, new ideas, and mentoring new leaders. What drives me most is empowering those around me to flourish, as that is what allows a community like ours to thrive.

I invite you to support me so that I can do my part to make Diamond Bar even better. I plan to ensure that Diamond Bar remains safe and peaceful, with its open land protected, and to create an environment where our businesses thrive.

I look forward to meeting you!
